Mastering Discovery: How to Set Up Your Search Engine APIs
Maximize your RSS discovery potential with high-volume API access.
RSS Finder Pro works out of the box with a built-in free discovery engine. However, for power users who need high-reliability, high-volume, and deep-web searching at scale, we support three professional search providers. Here is how to set them up in less than 5 minutes.
1. SerpApi (Google Search)
SerpApi is the industry standard for scraping search engine results with massive reliability. It’s perfect for deep-dive competitor research.
- Go to SerpApi.com and sign up for a free account.
- Verify your email address to activate your dashboard.
- Navigate to the API Key section in your dashboard.
- Copy your 64-character hexadecimal key and paste it into RSS Finder Pro.
2. Serper.dev (Fast Google API)
Serper.dev is a developer-favorite for its speed and extremely generous free tier (2,500 free searches upon signup).
- Visit Serper.dev and create an account.
- Your account will be pre-loaded with free credits.
- Click on API Key in the sidebar.
- Copy your key and paste it into the "Provider: Serper.dev" slot in the app.
3. Brave Search API (Privacy-First)
Brave Search provides an independent index of the web, often finding feeds that Google hides. It is the best choice for privacy-conscious researchers.
- Go to the Brave Search API Dashboard.
- Log in or create a Brave account.
- Select a plan (they offer a Free tier for testing).
- Generate a new Subscription Token.
- Copy this token into the Brave Search field in RSS Finder Pro.
